8. Look for oil leaks. This kind of problem is far more serious than other repairs and might take a while to really fix.

9. Open up each cell on the battery and check for water. If it doesn't reach the brim, fill it with distilled water.

10. Use a multi-meter to check for voltage and ampere output. If the result does not fall in the ideal output ranges mentioned in the equipment's manual, get professional help for alternator repair.
